At Tuesday's Mount Pleasant Rotary Club program, members heard about another organization that serves the same way, The Salvation Army.
ordon Nelms, local Director for the Salvation Army, discussed their mission of preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. Salvation Army volunteers help meet the needs of the poor and homeless in various ways.
Gordon also discussed how great the response has been in Mt. Pleasant to the SA kettle drive during Christmas. so, if you would like to volunteer for a two hour shift to ring the bell to help the work of the Salvation Army, be looking for the announcements in November about signing up.
