Rock on!

Mount Pleasant Rocks is painting rocks to hide around Mount Pleasant to brighten people's day and would love for you to join us! If you find a rock, you may take it and re-hide it, leave it be, or, if one really shouts out to you, keep it! On the back of your art work please write: "Keep or Hide, You Decide! Post Picture at Mount Pleasant Rocks" using the Facebook symbol or hashtag. If your rock is too small, put whatever will fit or just "FB Mount PleasantRocks". Acrylic paints and acrylic or enamel, clear sealers seem to work best. The goal is to get lots of people painting.
A few brief guidelines:
1. Please don't put rocks where they can be tripped over or fall on someone. (the middle of a walkway is NOT hiding)
2. Place them so that they don't interfere with mowers or weed trimmers. (projectiles hurt)
3. Get permission before placing them inside stores or places of business. (Outside is fair game)
4. Do not place on private property.
5. All photos can be shared without permission unless otherwise noted.
6. Don't place rocks inside of cemeteries. Some people place mementos on graves. We don't want those to be confused with rocks and taken. Outside the fenced area is okay.
7. Please don't take rocks from public or private landscapes. They can be purchased relatively cheaply. Hobby lobby or Michaels are great places to purchase large amounts.
8. Rocks reflect the opinions and attitudes of the individual artists, and not those of the admin. We cannot be held responsible for people being offended... Or anything else for that matter.
9. If you block the admin or a moderator you will be removed and blocked from the page.
10. Please make sure the art is weatherproof.
11. Any posts attempting to create a rule will be deleted.
12. Follow all traffic and pedestrian laws.
13. Do no harm to plants and other vegetation when hiding or hunting rocks.
14. Do not place rocks inside of the kaleidoscopes. They could damage them.

Mount Pleasant Rocks admins are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or damages caused by rocks or members of this group. 🙂
If you would like to create a "... Rocks" Group for your town please do so! Check to see that there is not one already, we only want one per town. Just create the group and name it "(insert town name here) Rocks". Try to stick to cities and towns and do not abbreviate so that no duplicate pages are created. We don't need a bunch of overlap with counties or larger areas.
