The Mount Pleasant Tigers’ Senior forward Holden Davis recently received two Academic All-State Awards for his achievements and hard work in the classroom. These awards are given based on overall GPA, class rank, and ACT/SAT score and participation in varsity basketball and are very difficult to achieve.
The Texas High School Coaches Association and Texas Army National Guard placed Davis on the Elite All-State Academic Team. This is a huge achievement as Davis was only 1 out of 20 selected in the entire state!
Davis was also selected by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches for their Academic All-State Team where he was only 1 out of 119 student athletes in Class 5A basketball.
Holden was a key player for the Tigers’ over the past three seasons he played on varsity. He earned Second Team All-District honors this past season for his accomplishments on the court.
Congrats to Holden on these incredible achievements and kudos to him for his hard work the past four years in high school! Holden plans to attend the University of Alabama this Fall to major in International Finance.
