Four Mt. Pleasant High School Powerlifters medaled at their respective Regional Meets and three have advanced to State competition.
At the Girls Powerlifting Regionals at Pine Tree High School on March 2, Junior Molli Dorsey placed 2nd in 259 Class while Junior Heavenlee Griffith placed 5th in 220 Class. Dorsey has advanced to the Girls State Meet in Waco March 17-18.
At the Boys Regional Meet at Lindale High School on March 4, Senior Andrew Turner placed 2nd in 242 Class and Senior Pablo Gutierrez placed 2nd in 114 Class. Both Gutierrez and Turner have advanced to the Boys State Competition in Abilene March 2-25.
