Adopt don't Shop
Mount Pleasant Animal Services encourages you to adopt, don't shop for a pet.
2,189 cats and dogs were delivered to the Mount Pleasant Animal Shelter in 2016. Through the efforts of our staff and countless volunteers we saved 1,492 animals. Sadly, the rest were euthanized.
Our regional community must do more to stop unwanted animals.
1. Spay or neuter your pets.
2. Don't let animals run loose. Keep them in a fenced in area.
3. Microchip your pets so if they get lost they can be returned to you.
Mount Pleasant Animal Services provides reduced adoption vouchers to cover veterinarian sterilization services. This means our local veterinarians provide reduced fees to animals that are adopted from the MP Animal Shelter.
MP City gives each animal a free microchip before it leaves the shelter. Our volunteers are providing funds and services to the pets housed while they wait for adoption.
We need your help. What are you doing to reduce unwanted pets? Please be a responsible pet owner. Help save a life at www.mpcity.net/animalservices.
