Chapel Hill High School seniors Parker Laing and Bailey Hall (right) are headed to the state UIL tournament for Cross-Examination (CX) Debate over spring break in March.
The team placed second at the District tournament in North Lamar this past week and tied each other for best speaker, each with perfect speaker points. At the state competition, they will face 63 other teams from conference 3A schools from around Texas during a two-day competition. Hall and Laing have each placed 3rd at the State level in previous years with different partners and are looking for a gold medal this year.
