UIL Academic Meet winners

MPHS UIL Academic Team members show of their trophies and medals earned at the recent Mt. Pleasant meet.
Mount Pleasant High School placed 2nd in the large school division at the recent UIL Academic Meet held in Mt. Pleasant. Twenty schools participated in the meet.

“I am please with how we did at this meet,” said MPHS UIL Sponsor Regina Crouch. “Hallsville beat us but we came in ahead of Sulphur Springs and we have already beaten Texas High.”

The Calculator Applications and Math teams places 1st while the Computer Science, Journalism and Social Studies teams each placed 2nd.

The Math team set a new school record for team score defeating 2nd place Hallsville 864-620.

The Math and Science teams have a meet this Saturday. The entire UIL Academic team will attend a meet on December 3.
