Mt Pleasant FFA Students Place at State Fair

Mount Pleasant High School FFA students participated in the State Fair of Texas Agriculture Mechanics contest in Dallas on October 13. Three of them brought home ribbons and prizes including welders, a welding helmet and sheets of steel and aluminum

Sophomore Karlee Newman placed first with her goat/lamb feeder.

Senior Shelby Young placed first with her goat/lamb trim table. Junior Hunter Roberts placed second with a 12' welding trailer.

“Congratulations to these students,” said Dr. Judith Saxton, MPISD Director of Communication. “They put a lot of hours and hard work into these projects. It’s great to see them rewarded for their efforts.”
