Although Titus County received a small amount of rainfall Thursday, the Mount Pleasant Fire Department says the fire danger in the area is still moderate to high.
The MPFD worked multiples fires along the Interstate Friday afternoon. As you can see by these pictures the grass is still green yet has no problem catching fire.
Please use EXTREME caution when doing any outdoor burning. Once your fire is lit, do not leave it unattended. Titus County is not currently under a burn ban, however, dangers do still exist. Please use caution.
