Over the next five days Mount Pleasant police officers will be heading to Dallas to attend the funerals of their brothers in blue.
The Mount Pleasant Police Department will be sending two Honor Guard members to each of the five funerals. The police department is also sending Clergy and Police Alliance (CAPA) members Rocky Simpler and Jose Sanchez who have been leading the way with police community relations within our city. Also present at Wednesday's funeral will be Titus County Constable Ray Barrett who is still a Honor Guard team member.
Police Chief Wayne Isbell says "Our Honor Guard and Clergy are there to support the Dallas Police Department, the injured and to say thank you for those who gave their lives. Families have been torn apart and we will honor those who lost loved ones. Our department members are proud to be there as these officers are laid to rest."
