The MPHS Cheerleaders attended UCA Camp at Great Wolf Lodge this past week. During camp, the cheerleaders received two spirit sticks, a gold superior ribbon for the sideline cheer and chant, and a gold superior ribbon for the extreme routine.
Tiger Mascot, Ariel Parr, received the Most Spirited Mascot award on day two of camp and was also chosen as an All-American Mascot.
Carly Lewis and Samantha Phillips received the Pin it Forward award for showing leadership skills and standing out during camp.
Presley Jones, Carly Lewis, Shelby Shaw, and Hailey Wright were named All-American Cheerleaders and invited to London for a performance.
On the final day at camp, the cheerleaders competed in the Large Varsity division against 9 other high schools, many of them being 6A. The MPHS Cheerleaders received 3rd place in the extreme routine competition and placed 4th in the overall game day performance.
Our very own Tiger received the Superior Mascot trophy. We are very proud of the hard work our cheerleaders put in this week.
