MPHS Class of 2016 Valedictorian and Salutatorian

Nayeli Fuentes is the MPHS Class of 2016 Valedictorian!

 She is the daughter of Jose Luis and Angelica Fuentes. Nayeli was voted Most Likely to Succeed, Tiger Doll of the Year, and earned Academic Blankets in Geometry, English II, Statistics and Calculus. She is also a member of the UIL Math Team that took third place at state this year.

She is a member of the National Honor Society (NHS), National Technical Honor Society (NTHS), Student Council and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). She is a Texas Scholar and a Texas Association of Secondary School Principals Finalist.

Nayeli has received the Knights of Columbus, East Texas Group of Financial Women in Texas, the MPHS UIL, and the Rotary Club Scholarships. She has also received seven scholarships from Texas A&M University-Commerce, the UT-Dallas AES Presidential, and Texas A&M University-Texarkana scholarships.

She will attend Texas A&M University-Commerce and major in Chemistry. After graduation she plans to attend medical school and become a general practitioner.

Brenda Godoy is the MPHS Class of 2016 Salutatorian!

She is the daughter of Policarp and Esperanza Godoy. Brenda is the Vice President of NTHS and the Historian of Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA). She is a member of the Student Council, NHS and the Goin’ Gold Marching and Concert Bands. She also ran Cross Country for the Lady Tigers. Brenda received the Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) Presidential Scholarship and the XYZ and Friends Scholarship. She will attend NTCC then transfer to Texas A&M University-Commerce. She plans to attend Dental School and become a pediatric dentist.
