ALAS (Amigos Latinos Al Servicio) has joined forces with the City of Mount Pleasant to bring you the 2nd Annual Cinco de Mayo on the Square presented by Suddenlink!
All four streets surrounding the court house are dedicated to the event Saturday. The day will be filled with fun activities aimed at bringing families out and uniting the community in a great cause. Here is a list of some of the events that will be going on throughout the day.
*5K Run in the morning presented by Brookshires and Super 1 Foods, organized by NTCC and RunTime Racing Services
*Soccer Tournament presented by Sandlin Motors benefiting the Mt. Pleasant ISD Foundation
*Youth Soccer Camp (Free) presented by Sandlin Motors for ages 4-14
*Celebration on the Square starting at 2:00 PM and ending at Midnight with:
*Great local, authentic Mexican and carnival foods
*Booths from our local businesses and craft vendors
*Talent Show with individual acts
*Miss Cinco de Mayo for High School Seniors
*Little Miss Cinco de Mayo for all girls ages 4 to 6
*A live Mariachi Band- Mariachi Jalisciense
*Live bands all day- Performers include Los Herederos De Nuevo Leon, Los Morris, Chicos Style, DL Doble L, Joeny El Demente, JOs, Banda F-Cinco, Grupo Callejero's, Darrin Morris Band, Brianna Arteaga
*DJ Diablito
*Carnival games & rides
