Ladies Only Firearms Safety Training Course

"It is time to begin our ladies only Firearms Safety Training Course hosted by the Titus County Sheriff’s Office," says Sheriff Tim Ingram.

The dates of the course are set for Saturday, April 30, and May 7 and will start at 8:30 a.m.

"Before we start the actual classes, we need all persons interested to print an application from www.tcsoinfo.com or stop by the Sheriff’s Office and pick one up," said Ingram. "When you finish filling out the application, bring it to the Titus County Sheriff’s Office and leave it with our dispatch.

"Remember you will need to have your own handgun with a minimum of 100 rounds of ammunition. If you own hearing and eye protection, please bring it with you to the course.

"You will be instructed by certified firearms instructors and at the end of the day you will be required to clean your firearm. If you need, we will teach you how to properly clean your firearm. All you need to bring is yourself, your weapon and ammunition, and we will supply everything else.

"We will stop accepting applications for this course on April 20, 2016 so if you are interested please get an application filled out and turned in. Be ready to learn and have a good time doing it."
