“Bub” was employed by Texas Utilities Mining Company as the Director of Maintenance; he retired in 2005 as a 31 year employee. He was a member of the Highland Park Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant.
He leaves his wife of 32 years, Jeanette Elliott; sons, Stan and his wife Pam Dickson of Mount Vernon, Texas and Steve Dickson of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Bridgett and Dr. Joey Romero, Rachel Dickson, Jacob Dickson and Mathew Dickson; one great grandson, Carter Romero; sisters, Sylvia and Jimmy Lawrence of Mount Pleasant, Texas and Roxy and David Clements of Pittsburg, Texas; brothers-in-law, Dwight and Jan Elledge of Mount Pleasant, and Dwayne and Mary Pat Elledge of Murphy, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Mount Pleasant, Texas. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church. Interment will follow at the Good Hope Cemetery in South Franklin County.
