Over seven inches of rain in less than a day

The Sugar Hill Volunteer Fire Department reports that, as of 8 a.m. Wednesday, another three inches of rain fell overnight, and it's still raining.

So far that's 7.2" of rain in 20 hours. Ditches are full and overflowing on to roadways.
