Author to visit library

Next Tuesday's author visit at the Mount Pleasant Public Library will feature Teresa Irizarry, author of "Rekindled", which asks - Does toleration mean stifling our convictions in public to get along?

Roger Williams fought for toleration by the authorities of people expressing convictions his whole life. He would be shocked to hear toleration is promoted to silence people in the public square in our age. We'd honor him most by having a passionate discussion about the issues. Come learn what toleration really meant when it was worth fighting for.

The author visit will be Tuesday, March 8, at 1 p.m.
