Connelly Cowan, daughter of Collin and Kelly Cowan and a 6th grader at P.E. Wallace Middle School, was the winner last year of the Mount Pleasant Pilot Club Veterans Day Essay contest at P.E. Wallace. The theme was “What America Means to Me”.
She received a certificate, a $75 cash prize, read her essay during the Wallace Veterans Day program. She recently attended the January Pilot Club meeting at the Mount Pleasant Country Club where she read her essay for the members.
