The continuing downward spiral of the Daily Tribune into journalistic oblivion continues. After about 13 months, the latest managing editor of the Daily Tribune left Monday. That was anticipated since she had given notice, but our extensive network of stooges and spies also indicates the publisher - who had barely been there a month - also left the same day.
We are not privy to the inner workings of Granite Publications, the current owners of the Daily Tribune, but seeing as the company is run by a bunch of dishonest money-grubbing cheats, we suspect they tried to rip-off someone.
Companies like Granite pull stunts like that all the time; for instance, saying "We'd like to start you at $24,000" and you take the job, and when you get your first paycheck, it isn't what you expected, and you ask "What about the $24,000" and they'll reply: "We said we'd like to start you at $24,000, but we can't afford it, so you're only getting $18,000" or something similar.
Or else, seeing as the Executive Vice President is a Wendy Davis pinkshirt stormtrooper, she didn't like the new publisher's editorial stance, and bounced him while looking for someone who will endorse Bernie Sanders and gun confiscation.
Regarding the demise of The Tribune, we recall the words of a South American banana republic dictator who was asked by a supporter why he didn't have one of his bumbling opponents shot:
"Why waste time assassinating someone who is already committing suicide?"
