Ransomware attack

TRMC experienced a network outage on Friday, January 15th. The outage is the result of a ransomware virus cyber attack, which encrypted files on multiple database servers.

The hospital's computer network was NOT hacked. This is a critical distinction - there is NO reason to believe any staff or patient information was visible or compromised.

TRMC has partnered with a national company specializing in these types of attacks to validate the security of patient and staff information and to determine the root causes of the event.
