Leads sought on daytime burglary

The Titus County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a burglary which took place during daylight hours Thursday.

The burglary occurred at a residence in the Blevins Community on County Road 4875 near Cason. A significant amount of items were taken, included flat screen televisions, jewelry, guns and chain saws.

The Titus County Sheriff's Office is asking any citizen who observed any suspicious activity or vehicles in that corner of the county to please call in with their information.

"We will leave no stone unturned in pursuit of the burglars and we are working quickly to develop leads in this case," said Sheriff Tim Ingram. "We would like to again express our recommendation that homeowners make use of today's current inexpensive availability of surveillance cameras which frequently prove so valuable in leading to the identification and arrest of criminals."
