An animal cruelty case resulted in an arrest by the MPPD New Year's Eve. This is the second case this month involving a dog being injured by the way the owner had the dog tied up.
Animal cruelty is a crime and owners will be held responsible. The photo is graphic but the intent is to provide a warning to others who treat animals poorly.
This animal was seized by Mount Pleasant Animal Control and is being treated.
