Sheriff's Dept. lists closed roadways


This is the latest updated list of road closures due to flooding in Titus County. Please be advised conditions may change for better or worse at these locations. Remember if you cannot see the surface of the roadway where water is over the road, it is likely that attempting to cross it is unsafe. Citizens are asked to turn around and to not take unnecessary risks. Road conditions due to high water, trees and limbs, may be unpredictable, please drive carefully. Many of these locations may be open this morning but please use caution along these routes.

Latest Major Update: All of Highway 271 in Titus County and north of Talco is now open. All parts of Highway 67 are now open.
As of last update, the following locations are considered closed due to high water:
CR 2220 (Near the very end)
CR 3375 (Just off of FM 1001)
CR 2715 (at Jakes Creek Bridge)
CR 2730 (at the low crossing near an adjacent pond)
FM 2152 (Greenhill Road) Near CR 1670
FM 71 West of CR 1915
County Roads 1140 and 1240 have been reported to be partly closed due to high water
FM 127 near Intersection of CR 2120 (As of this morning, trucks and high profile vehicles have been passing through this part.)
FM 3417 at Tankersly Creek Crossing (Will likely remain closed for a good part of the day)
FM 127 (reported near the 8700 Block)
FM 1000 (south of intersection of CR 3350)
FM 4000 at intersection of FM 1735
CR 3210 (undisclosed location)
CR 3246 (Near Oak Grove)
CR 1910 (undisclosed location)
CR 1905 (At White Oak Creek Bridge)
CR 1925 (Closed at one point with reported washout)
CR 1935 (undisclosed location)
FM 1993 at CR 3120
CR 4315 (undisclosed location)
CR 4235 at CR 4260
FM 1734 (at Tankersly Creek near Damascus Church)
CR 4815 (undisclosed location)
CR 4825 (undisclosed location)
CR 4030 (undisclosed location, Likely near Hwy 67)
CR 4025 (undisclosed location)
CR 3925 (Reported a tree down during the night)
FM 1001 (Multiple areas reportedly underwater)
CR 1150 (A sink hole was reported at an undisclosed location)
