Handsome Henry

Handsome Henry, a St. Bernard Pup, was found by a pet angel along a roadside in Naples this past weekend and was brought to Bruechner Animal Hospital for care. He is about six months old and is skin and bones but so very sweet! His fur was badly matted and had to be cut off.

Titus County Shelter Friends called and St Cloud's Rescue took in Henry. They are a rescue for St Bernard dogs. Henry has a lot of this breed in him and he exhibits their kind and gentle nature. He will have excellent care and be ready for adoption when he is well enough.

Henry went to the vet Monday morning. He is 30 pounds. He is on quite a few meds. He is emaciated, has an infection and is extremely anemic. They have taken blood work etc. He has had all the necessary deworming etc. It will be awhile before this boy is out of the woods. He will be on high quality small servings of food throughout the day. Say prayers for this little guy.
