LOCK YOUR CAR

Rash of overnight vehicle burglaries reported. Suspect(s) simply opened unlocked vehicle doors.

Mount Pleasant Police want to remind residents to take extra care and avoid becoming a victim of a vehicle burglary.

Please follow this rule and Lock, Take and Hide — Lock your car, take your keys and hide your possessions. The next step is to See Something Say Something. Report suspicious activity.

If you see someone acting suspicious call 911. If you see kids under 17 out at night call 911. The city has a curfew. Report the activity.

Most vehicle burglaries are a crime of opportunity because you left your car door unlocked. By spending a few seconds and making sure your vehicle doors are locked could save you a lot of time and trouble by avoiding becoming a victim.

Remember… LOCK, TAKE and HIDE and REPORT SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.
