The City of Mount Pleasant has started its annual mosquito control program. Spraying will be done by a vector-licensed City employee each Wednesday and Thursday evening between the hours of midnight and 6:00 A.M.
The City will be divided into five areas, and every street in each of the areas will be sprayed once per week, contingent upon wind speed. In winds greater than 10 mph spraying is prohibited. Should these conditions exist, the area will be sprayed the following evening.
