The City of Mount Pleasant and Republic Services are sponsoring a “Clean Up” for area residents

On Saturday, May 12, between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M. Republic Services at the Pleasant Oaks Landfill will be accepting refuse from CITY OF MOUNT PLEASANT residents at no charge.

The City will not be picking up at curbside. All items must be taken to the Pleasant Oaks Landfill at 3031 FM 3417.

Citizens of Mt. Pleasant are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to clean up and dispose of unwanted rubbish, trash, brush, old furniture, or other household items at no cost.

Residents who wish to dispose of appliances such as refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, washers, and dryers can take the items to the Pleasant Oaks Landfill. Compressors should be removed from appliances if possible. Items that will not be accepted include tires, batteries, paint, and oil. City of Mount Pleasant Residents ONLY, proof of residency required. Water bills can be used to provide proof.
