PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THE SIGNS!
Titus county-Mt Pleasant Emergency Management will be conducting a full-scale exercise tomorrow, May 24th, in Mt Pleasant and Titus County.
Today while you’re out you may notice hot pink signs posted to trees, poles and fences. These signs will be used to simulate the emergency that will be occurring to practice the functions of emergency response.
Participating agencies include Titus County EMS, Titus County Sheriff’s department, Mt Pleasant Police Department, Titus County Road Crews, Mt Pleasant Public Works, Mt Pleasant Fire Department, the City Of Mt Pleasant, and Titus County volunteer Fire Departments.
Tomorrow you may notice crews in the city and county while participating in the full-scale exercise. This training occurs so that should an actual emergency or natural disaster occur in our area, our departments will have trained to provide you with the best response and care possible.
