Camp Brave Heart is a day camp for children ages 6 - 12 who are dealing with grief from the death of a loved one. Camp Brave Heart is a safe place for campers to explore: Feelings, Emotions, Experiences, and Fun in a supportive community setting.
Campers will be involved in arts, crafts, conversation, play, food and fellowship, and a memorial service to help them experience a sense of belonging and support in a welcoming environment.
Go to www.cbhospice.org to fill out an online application for any of our three camps: Paris June 7 – 8, Mount Pleasant June 28 – 29, or Sulphur Springs July 12 – 13. Camp will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
.
Because of community sponsors, generous gifts from individuals, and facilities provided by area churches, Cypress Basin Hospice is able to provide Camp Brave Heart at no cost to campers and their families.
This year, Everett Toyota has generously donated $5,000 and is the presenting sponsor for Camp Brave Heart 2018.
Camp Brave Heart is staffed with dedicated professionals and volunteers who are called to work with children and who seek to help children continue to mature in a healthy way physically, spiritually, emotionally, and psychologically.
Use the gifts and skills you have been given and make a lasting contribution to a child and through that child to our communities. Contact our Volunteer Services Coordinator Niki Haynes, 903.577.1510 or n.haynes@cbhospice.org to offer your time and talent to Camp Braveheart.
