"City Manager Mike Ahrens will be asking for requests for qualifications for architectural services, in order to find the best qualified architect with experience and expertise in the design of animal shelters," said Heavner. "That is a very positive step towards the goal of building a much needed animal shelter. It will be a collaborative effort between the city and the county."
"This step doesn't guarantee that we will build the shelter, but this is a very positive step," he concluded. "Stay tuned, we should have some more news by the end of June."
