The message is simple. Don’t become a victim because you left your vehicle unlocked. We have thieves in our city. We are no different than any other community. Thieves are opportunistic, walking the streets, coming onto your residential property and business parking lots trying vehicle door handles.
Since May, the city has seen a spike in vehicle burglaries averaging a least one vehicle burglary each day.
Don’t make it easy for thieves. LOCK YOUR VEHICLES at your homes and when out in public.
Call 911 to report suspicious persons so we can identify these criminals and put them in jail where they belong.
