Busy day for TCSO

The Titus County Sheriff’s Office had a busy day Thursday. Among the Titus County Sheriff’s Office many duties, deputies made numerous arrests in regards to the possession and or sale of illegal narcotics in the Titus County area.

At approximately 0642 hours a Titus County Sheriff’s deputy was traveling south on Jefferson Avenue in the area of Town Lake when he observed Houston Contreras stumbling around and acting in an odd manner. The deputy made contact with Houston Contreras and immediately his behavior as that of someone under the influence. After an investigation into the situation and a search being conducted, the deputy located suspected methamphetamine on Houston Contreras person. Houston Contreras, age 24, from Mount Pleasant was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 >=1g<4g, a felony of the third degree.


At approximately 0940 hours a Titus County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a pedestrian stop on East McLean Street in Talco. The deputy identified the pedestrian as Doyle Ray McGee. While the deputy was interviewing Doyle Ray McGee he observed him to continually attempt to place his hands in his jacket pockets. The deputy learned why Doyle Ray McGee was doing this when the deputy observed a clear plastic container with suspected methamphetamine partially hanging from Doyle Ray McGee’s jacket pocket. Doyle Ray McGee, age 57, from Talco was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 <1g, a state jail felony.

 

At approximately 1257 hours Titus County Deputies responded to a call in regard to a possible disturbance. Deputies located the suspected persons of the disturbance in the 200 block of County Road 3445. During the course of the investigation deputies conducted a search of the vehicle and located suspected methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia. Sam Lee Halley, age 44, from Cookville and Donald Chaz Smith, age 26, from Mount Vernon was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 >=1g<4g, a felony of the third degree.


At approximately 1725 hours the Titus County Sheriff’s Office executed a Narcotic Search Warrant in the 1100 block of County Road 3375. During the investigation it was learned that persons at this residence were selling methamphetamines. The location was quickly secured by the Titus County Emergency Response team. A search of the location was conducted and suspected methamphetamines, drug paraphernalia, and a stolen firearm was located. The following persons were arrested:

Mark Lee Justice III for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 >=1g<4g

Melinda Grace Sanders for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 >=1g<4g

Molli Louise Pucket for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 <1g

Bruce Allen Yerdon for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 <1g, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Felon

Billy Wayne Reynolds for Tampering with Physical Evidence, 2 Warrants for Theft >$20<$500 by check, Warrant for Theft >$500<$1500 by check
