Three MPHS Anglers Teams Qualify for State Competition

Six members of the Mount Pleasant High School Bass Fishing Club have advanced to the Texas High School Bass Association State Tournament on Lake Ray Roberts in May.

The teams of Freshman Javier Bello and Sophomore Daniel Slone, Sophomore Tyler Miklos and Freshman Zeth Whittington, and Sophomores Blake Denson and Rance White qualified at the Regional Tournament held at Lake Sam Rayburn April 15.

This is the second year that MPHS has had a Bass Fishing Team.
