The Mid America Flight Museum Fleet's eldest member, Miss Gilmore, the 1925 model Waco 9, took to the skies over Mount Pleasant Texas for three flights Wednesday evening. The first flight was taken by Kelly Mahon, followed by Scott Glover, then Andrew Kiest. She lumbers along and was not taken far from the field, but the OX5 V-8 engine ran like a champ. At the time this plane was built, President Calvin Coolidge was in office.
