The Mount Pleasant Fire Department battled a 10-acre grass fire on the I-30 frontage road - near the Mount Pleasant Industrial Park - on Wednesday. The Mount Pleasant Texas Police Department assisted with traffic control on the Interstate due to low-visibility. The grass fire began accidentally from a stuck vehicle creating sparks. A commercial shop was protected & saved during this fire.
