Hearts for Hospice Ball Promises Big Surprises

The annual Hearts for Hospice Charity Ball 2017 will be held Saturday, February 4th from 6:30 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. at the Mount Pleasant Civic Center. This black-tie optional event is presented by an all-volunteer group of individuals from the communities served by Cypress Basin Hospice.

Ball attendees can expect a posh night of dinner and dancing and can also anticipate an evening of big surprises, VIP treatment and creativity that is unexpected. This year’s event will continue to feature a spectacular three-course gourmet meal, dancing to live music and incredible live and silent auctions of imaginative select items.

What makes this year so special is a signature surprise raffle that will entertain and engage all attendees. The dynamic duo of emcee Dr. Clint Davis and auctioneer Bruce Moler will charm guests and captivate all with a luxurious raffle that has an unexpected twist.

“Without revealing too much, let me just say this will be an experience that has not been done yet in Mount Pleasant,” said Karen Neeley, Ball Chairman. “The committee expects our guests will be entertained and delighted with the mystery of announcing the surprise at this year’s ball. This magnificent surprise would be perfect for that sweetheart in your life.” Raffle tickets will be available exclusively at the ball for 3 tickets for $100. Guests are encouraged to bring cash or check to purchase tickets that night.

Following tradition, every year a featured local artist donates an original work of art for the live auction. This year’s artist is Maura Beth Holland who has created an original modern design.
Public Relations Chairman for the Ball Amy Hinton said, “We are thrilled to have Maura Beth Holland as our featured artist at the year’s Hearts for Hospice Ball. Her talent and caring spirit are evident in piece she creates. Gracious donations such as hers and so many others will help Cypress Basin Hospice assist patients and their families throughout our community.”
