From the Mount Pleasant Police Dept: Today when I woke up

Today when I woke up I had no idea I would be in jail by mid-afternoon. My day started like any other day. I got up and had breakfast. I drove myself to school and took an exam. I felt pretty good today. After school, I drove over to a fast food restaurant and had lunch with friends. After lunch, I decided to go shopping for a few items.

While shopping I chose to place the items in my backpack. I decided to steal the items. I could have paid for the items but I took them to save money. What I did not expect was I was being watched.

The store has cameras. I’ve seen them many times. I figured no one was watching but I was wrong. As I was leaving the store I was stopped. When confront I lied and told the employee he was wrong. I even threaten the sue for accusing me of stealing.

He was persistent and I was detained and the police came. I did not save any money for stealing. I spent three days in jail. I posted bail using my parents money. I missed several days of school and am now struggling to catch up on the work and I almost lost my job. My parents had been helping me out financially but that has now ended. I still have to go to court.

What have I done? Why am I in this mess?

Pay attention if you are reading this. Think! This happened because I was wrong. I made the choice and will pay the price.
