With all this rain why is the burn ban still in place? It's up to the Mount Pleasant Mayor and the Titus County Judge to lift the burn ban in their respective jurisdictions.
The rain is helping reduce the area wide fire danger but our city and county is still under a burn ban. Do not burn or you could face a steep fine.
Ask before you burn. We don't want you to get in trouble. This site will also publish when the ban is lifted.
