Today at 5:45 a.m. the Mount Pleasant Police Department received a call of possible shots fired at 2013 N. Edwards, Mt Pleasant Assisted Living.
Officers responded and found two people deceased in a common area. Mark Sutherland 51 years old and Michelle Sutherland 51 years old both residents of Mt Pleasant were deceased upon arrival.
Officers are investigating the incident as a murder suicide. This is an ongoing investigation. Family members have been notified.
